This past Saturday, I attended the 2016 MN Blogger Conference at Concordia University, St. Paul. I’ve been blogging for over 5 years now and this was my first event as a blogger. It was so much more that I expected; my fellow bloggers would agree, there are two reasons we go to these events.
- To learn, grow and get inspired for our content.
- To network with other bloggers.
First off, the keynote speaker Jennifer Kane killed it with her opening: How To Become A Fierce & Fearless Blogger! She was truly an inspiration to start the day with and I took away so much from her presentation that will benefit my attitude towards my blog and my e-commerce business.
As the day progressed, I knew which sessions I wanted to attend. I needed more help with my Editorial Calendar and then I attended Mastering The Art Of Blogging before lunch. As the afternoon sessions rolled around, I attended How Successful Bloggers Monetize Their Site and I have to say this was the best one of the day for me. After, I wanted to learn more about Google Analytics since I’m a stats freak so I went to Hold Your Content Accountable and lastly, there was What Bloggers Need To Know About SEO.
A wide variety of speakers, information, and resources is what I got in return for my attendance this year. Let’s just say I’m already excited about next year. There was also free wifi, resource center, selfie station, head shot stations by Glimpses Of Soul Photography, and sponsors giveaways.
The best part of my day was meeting new and existing blogger friends, amazing blogger network we have here in Minnesota, and I’m so proud to be a part of it. These ladies made the day so much more fun, and it was great to put a face to the social media profiles that I follow every day.
Here are just a few ladies I got to meet:
